NOW’s System

What is it and how does it work?

The System is divided into 2 parts – Part 1 integrates with part 2.

Part 1 The Fast Track learning system which comprises of 3 two hour, one year courses only costing £2 an hour.

BEGINNERS: absolute beginners they will be about grade 2 standard after 12 months.

IMPROVERS - from grade 2 standard (or completed beginner course or similar experience) after 12 months grade 4 standard.

INTERMEDIATE – from grade 4 standard (completed improvers or similar) after 12 months grade 6 standard.

Part 2 Performing Ensembles 2 ½ hours per week rehearsals – these groups are continuous (not set courses over a prescribed time) and cost £10 a month.

All paying members can join a lower ensemble on the same instrument free of charge.

Community Wind Orchestra B – entrance to this group is via completed beginner course, at least grade 2 or similar experience.

Community Wind Orchestra A – via completed Improvers, at least grade 4 or similar experience.

Training Wind Orchestra – via completed Improvers, at least grade 6 or similar experience.

Advanced Wind Orchestra – via Training Winds subject to audition, or invitation, at least grade 8 or similar experience.

Wind Ensemble – From music college, diploma, or Music degree standard, by invitation but you are encouraged to apply.
