Guy has recently retired from head of Music with the Royal Shakespeare Company
in Stratford Upon Avon after 37 years service.
Guy is now in his 70th Year and and has been Honoured by the Queen.
Guy is an international Conductor and ex-professional Horn player for Orchestras like Saddler's Wells Ballet etc.
Guy is still resident Conductor for Birmingham Conservatoire Wind Orchestra
This great composer of wonderful music for concert bands is coming to Northampton
for a weekend of music making 2nd & 3rd February 2008 - don't miss it.

NOW has teamed up with one of our foremost wind band composers to bring you
a fulfilled weekend of musical beauty!
This is a course for you to develop musically, technically, and conceptually.
Remember any player of Grade 7 and above may apply for this rewarding and educational experience.
(Slighly lower in trombones, horns, euphoniums, tubas, percussion from approaching grade 7.
If you haven't done an exam equivalent experience considered - please ask for consideration.
Guy wrote the very first BASBWE (British Association of Symphonic Bands and Wind Ensembles)
commission 25 years ago; and Gallimaufry which was indeed instant success.
Gallimaufry, like many of his Guy's wonderful band works are still regularly performed worldwide today.
Yes Guy Woolfenden has an international reputation and has a great sense of humour.
